T he Obama
Administration would have you believe that by opposing the federal
health care insurance mandate, the Catholic Church is opposed to woman’s
health care. This could not be further from the truth! In fact, the
Church is the largest private provider of health care for women and
their children in the United States.
The Catholic Church strongly opposes the health care
mandate,precisely, because it clearly violates our Freedom of Religion
by requiring the church and its institutions, including
hospitals,schools, and charitable organizations to pay for procedures
that go against our moral convictions.
If this mandate carries through, it means devastation
not only for the Catholic Church, but for other religions, as well.
